30 Day Challenge
OK folks, this is the first day of my 30 day watercolor challenge. Watercolor is truly a challenge for me. Watercolor is temperamental. The paper needs to be the correct dampness to create the mixing of colors on paper, slight fuzziness, or sharp edges when wanted. Since a color laid is a color played, a great deal of planning is needed before you start.
Years ago I took a three day watercolor workshop from Andy Evansen in Lanesboro, MN. Andy is known internationally and happens to paint in the loose, relaxed way that, in my opinion, watercolors are meant to be used.
